Hundred Plus

Use the right system to easily save unnecessary cumbersome procedures.

Digital transformation and sustainable business development have become essential trends and key topics in modern enterprise management.
However, many companies encounter technical and execution-related challenges during digital adoption.
That’s why merely introducing digital tools is not enough.

True digital transformation requires rethinking your entire business process and service flow, and aligning them with company culture and structure.

On this journey, Hundred Plus stands out as a battle-tested company with extensive experience in supporting enterprises through this transformation.

What Businesses Need to Understand About Digital Transformation

Digital transformation is not easy—it requires a strong foundation.
According to Lin Chong-Ren, CEO of Hundred Plus, most companies know what outcomes they want from digitalization,
but don’t know which tools to use, which product fits them, or what problems they may face during implementation,
including the costs and challenges involved.

As a business grows or faces process bottlenecks, digital transformation becomes a natural next step.
Lin recommends companies consult with IT solution providers to define the depth and scope of transformation that suits their condition before implementation.

Professor Chen Zongxian also emphasizes the mindset of “Shift Thought – Shift Action – Shift Model” as crucial for business leaders embracing transformation.

With cloud services becoming mainstream, companies can try out solutions and gradually integrate them into operations,
making the transition smoother and less painful.

Starting with Cloud Services to Find the Right Digital Strategy

Back in 2013, Hundred Plus launched its first product: a cloud office service.
At the time, the concept wasn’t popular—until COVID-19 hit.

That’s when companies realized: if staff can’t physically come to the office,
running HR, projects, and customer service becomes difficult without a proper system.

Lin emphasizes:

"Management relies on systems, and systems rely on forms."
The design of your forms shapes your company’s workflow—especially when face-to-face interaction isn’t possible.

What businesses fear most is implementing a system that doesn't deliver what they expected.
Lin insists that front-line staff must clearly understand and convey customer needs, not push products just for sales.

System adoption isn’t just about cost—it’s also about effort.
Vendors also bear responsibility for data security, as all information is stored in the cloud.

There are many EIP (Enterprise Information Portal) vendors on the market.
Companies should thoroughly test each one to see what fits best.

Ten years ago, trying out EIP systems wasn’t easy.

Most businesses could only see demos, with no real trial use.

Now, with over 20 years of experience, Hundred Plus has accumulated extensive know-how.
They offer standard solutions for common issues, and if more than three clients raise the same request, the product is improved accordingly.

They also hold monthly product enhancement meetings, helping the system evolve.

Of course, not every issue can be solved.
When that happens, Hundred Plus seeks mutual understanding, provides alternatives, or refers trusted vendors.

Lin also points out that internal organizational changes don’t always require a new system.

Remember these 3 things:

1. Choose the right system
2. Use it the right way
3. Continuously optimize it
Many companies choose the right system but use it the wrong way.
So when the organization changes, they feel the system no longer fits.

In reality, a good system should still work as you grow.
The first step should be consulting your vendor to explore how they can adapt the system for your new needs.

Lin notes that plug-ins or custom modules can often meet changing demands.
Only when no solution is feasible should you consider a full system replacement—since that comes with a high cost.

Whenever possible, opt for improvements and adjustments, rather than starting over.

Cloud Knowledge Base: Always Stay on Top of Business Operations

Lin Chong-Ren shares that if a business only wants to make money, it may not need a knowledge base.
But if it wants to generate sustainable income and scale the organization, then building a knowledge base and implementing knowledge management is essential.

Knowledge management involves storing key materials—such as SOPs, documents, organizational bylaws, and R&D or production-related information—into a centralized system.
This allows employees to access them and authorized users to manage and update them.

This is a crucial part of implementing knowledge management.
Many people mistakenly believe that maintaining knowledge is the responsibility of a few individuals.
But in today’s world, building knowledge is everyone’s responsibility.

At Hundred Plus, every employee is encouraged to contribute to the knowledge base.
For instance, if someone attends a class at Lian Sheng and learns something new that applies to their work, they can document it.

However, not all recorded knowledge is immediately correct.
Therefore, it must go through a review process before it’s published and made available to others.

In other words, the knowledge recorded in Hundred Plus’s knowledge base isn’t only documented when someone needs it—
it’s documented proactively whenever a new practice, insight, or tool can benefit the company.
After review, the information is shared with everyone.

This systematized digital knowledge base enables employees to quickly search and retrieve information using keywords when needed.

Thus, knowledge management is a vital part of business operations.
It’s not just about data storage—it’s a managed process that tracks company progress and employee growth.

At Bai Jia Information Technology, every employee is encouraged to contribute to the knowledge base.

The Age of AI – Strengthening Core Capabilities to Face New Challenges

The era of AI is arriving faster and more forcefully than expected — every day could bring significant change.
For Hundred Plus, this rapid evolution poses a real challenge in adapting and growing.

Many companies today seek to explore AI, but most are only familiar with tools like ChatGPT.
In truth, AI services extend far beyond that.

Lin Chong-Ren and his team have been contemplating an important question:
What kinds of AI solutions can the company provide to deliver real value to clients?

From a product standpoint, the maturing of AI technology means major tech firms are now offering a wide variety of AI support tools.

Lin encourages businesses to research and integrate these tools to enhance operational efficiency.

At Hundred Plus, the cloud-based office platform has already incorporated AI features.
For instance, a chatbot in the lower right corner assists users by delivering system-related knowledge.

In its future development roadmap, Hundred Plus plans to integrate large language models (LLMs)
to provide advanced AI chatbot services, allowing companies to store internal governance knowledge
that employees can retrieve via natural language queries and conversations.

This marks a major product upgrade for Hundred Plus.

On the service front, as a software provider, it's crucial to educate clients on how to use the software effectively.

Take, for example, user manuals.
There’s no longer a need to hire multiple translators.
Once a Chinese version is complete, AI tools can quickly generate translations in multiple languages.

This is one of the practical benefits that AI delivers,
highlighting why using AI tools effectively is becoming increasingly essential in modern business operations.

Many people are concerned that with the rise of AI, talent development in businesses will be greatly impacted.

Lin Chong-Ren, CEO of Hundred Plus, openly uses his son as an example.
As a humanities student, his elders once worried that he’d have difficulty finding a job in such a tech-driven world.
However, Lin believes this is an outdated mindset, and that such concerns are unnecessary today.

Nowadays, many students know how to use ChatGPT, but that’s just the beginning.
It’s a tool that helps you organize ideas, ask better questions, and seek assistance.
In reality, platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP offer a wide range of more advanced AI applications.

Learning to apply AI efficiently and communicate with AI tools will be a vital skill going forward.
For example, to create multi-language videos, using the right AI service can cut production time by 90%.

Therefore, companies should train employees to recognize and utilize AI tools.
They don’t need to master every tool, but should understand which ones solve what problems, and how they can boost productivity.

Lin reminds us that the next wave of tech won’t stop at ChatGPT.
Yes, some jobs will be replaced, but the key is this: those who are willing to learn and adapt to AI will find new opportunities.

Strengthening Team Cohesion Through Sports and Incentives

It’s well-known that business growth relies on developing employee expertise.
But for a company to thrive, one person alone isn’t enough.

Lin admits that 20 years ago, he believed frequent team dinners would bring people together.
But after 1–2 years, it was clear that shared meals didn’t build shared vision.

Later, he discovered a better method: promoting sports within the company.
Sports not only promote health, but also help build team unity.

Even something as small as taking the stairs counts.
People chat during exercise—not always about work—but those positive endorphins make consensus easier.

The company also offers incentives: employees who hit fitness goals receive bonuses.
From another perspective, it helps counteract long hours of sitting at desks, encouraging physical well-being.

Creating a Learning Organization to Unlock New Potential

Beyond fitness, Lin is also committed to building a learning organization.
External training is a key part of this approach.

He recalls that in his early classes at Liansheng, Professor Chen Zongxian had a major influence on him—offering invaluable guidance.
After years of learning and working with the professor, he was moved by his mission to help SMEs in Taiwan grow.

This inspired Lin to define his own mission: helping SMEs achieve digital transformation.

Over the last two decades, there were moments when Lin felt exhausted.
But seeing Professor Chen's unwavering energy and dedication reminded him that he, too, could—and should—keep going and spread this work further.

Liansheng is a platform for businesses to grow independently and connect with other companies,
enabling continuous learning. Letting Liansheng train employees is more effective than doing it internally,
because its training methods focus on business growth,
not just teaching management concepts,
but also integrating Professor Chen’s practical experience, making management execution more powerful.

Lin Chong-Ren shared that when sending teams to classes at Liansheng, it’s not enough for them to "just show up"; they must submit a reflection report afterward.
Reading those reports reveals what employees truly think and what they’ve learned.
This process also encourages the team to develop more ideas for product optimization.

He also makes these reports public for the entire company to read.
Through this sharing process, the company established a "Learning Passport" system,
where attending classes at Liansheng earns points — forming a point-based learning mechanism.
Taking certification exams also earns points, quantifying learning effectiveness.

Learning is a continuous process. The more knowledge one accumulates, the more motivation they have.
With corporate encouragement and rewards, this creates a positive cycle.
From writing small reports to forming part of company operations and new product ideas —
this alone is highly valuable.

Therefore, whenever he identifies a promising management trainee or department head,
he sends them to the CEO program at Liansheng.
Employees with strong technical backgrounds are also encouraged to take skills-enhancement courses.

He also recommends that companies wishing to transform,
or those with strong expertise but lacking in management, should attend courses at Liansheng.

Global Push for ESG – Hundred Plus Leads by Example

With the global ESG trend on the rise, Hundred Plus is also taking proactive steps.
Looking at the three ESG pillars — Environment, Social Responsibility, and Governance — “E” (Environment) is something Hundred Plus has been dedicated to for the past 20 years.
Moving forward, its main goal is to help clients go paperless.

At the same time, the company constantly evaluates

how its products and services can help enterprises meet ESG goals.
Hence, it is developing a carbon and energy-saving calculator
to track how many pages are saved by using e-forms and how much time is conserved during system usage,
turning software usage into quantifiable data.

This is Hundred Plus’s way of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility,
making the software usage process a source of measurable carbon-saving data.

The second step is offering carbon audit software.
Since carbon audits involve the supply chain and Hundred Plus systems are used internally,
they launched a separate project called EcoPortal, which enables businesses and their suppliers to collaborate more efficiently.

Lin provided an example: If a manufacturer wants to perform a carbon audit,

EcoPortal allows them to create a customized audit form.
Suppliers can log in, enter data, and submit it for review and compilation.

While supporting clients in their digital transformation, the company is also evolving itself.
As Professor Chen says, ESG is not just the responsibility of big companies,
but one that all businesses and individuals must bear.

That’s why Hundred Plus has started drafting its own ESG report.
Only by taking it seriously can each item be properly implemented.

Lin remains highly optimistic about ESG —

if carried out with intention, it will undoubtedly benefit the business.
